~E c' I E_D <br />Recreation Committee Minutes <br />a <br />January 10, 1996 <br />The Recreation Committee meeting came to .order on January 10, 1996 at 7:30 PM in the <br />Conference Room at the Town Hall. Committee members in attendance included Lorraine Salter, <br />Kate Kaminer, Chris Campbell, John Pacino, and John McGrath. Also in attendance was <br />Recreation Administrator Joe Connelly and Reading Men's Softball Director Mike Moscariello. <br />Minutes of the December 13, 1995 meeting were approved on a motion by Campbell, seconded <br />by Salter, 5-0-0. <br />New Business: <br />Reading Men's Softball Director Mike Moscariello asked the Committee to extend their permit to <br />allow 2 out of town teams to participate in the A Division and allow 3 out of town players to <br />participate per team in the A Division. <br />Connelly briefly explained the request. <br />Moscariello reviewed the request and summarized last season's results. <br />The Committee discussed this issue. <br />Campbell motioned to accept the proposal to continue the practice of allowing 2 out of town <br />teams and 3 out of town participants per team in the RMSL "A" Division. The motion was <br />seconded by Salter, 5-0-0. <br />Reading Men's Softball requested special permits for Sunday Morning at 10:00 for it's three <br />tournaments. <br />The Committee's consensus was to approve the motion however an official vote will be taken at <br />the February meeting. <br />Kaminer stated that the 12:00 start rule was in place and exceptions should not continue to be <br />made. Kaminer believes that if exceptions are going to be made the rule should be abolished. <br />Moscariello thanked the Committee for taking a stand on the $10 field fee. <br />Moscariello exited the meeting at 8:10 PM. <br />Connelly reviewed the 1996 Summer Program Fees. <br />Connelly explained that these fees will continue to move the Recreation Division toward a <br />break-even point. <br />
