Bylaw Committee Minutes #164 <br />October 11, 1989 <br />Members present: Ed Murphy, Nils Nordberg, Dolores Carroll and Phil Pacino <br />Guests present: Peter Hechenbleikner, Brad Latham and Bob Nordstrand <br />7:40 Meeting called to order in the Old South Methodist Church <br />Peter Hechenbleikner reviewed Articles 7, 32, 33, 34, and 35 with <br />the committee. He detailed the reasons for the articles and why they should be <br />accepted. <br />Brad Latham reviewed Article 23 with the committee. He stated <br />that he and the proponents who had proposed this article last year had worked <br />with the CPDC to revise the article to address the concerns raised last year. <br />The result of that work is Article 23. <br />Bob Nordstrand presented Article 36 to the committee. He detailed <br />the problems the Assessors had with the Town Manager. He also addressed the <br />possible solutions which involve a change in the Charter. <br />Minutes #163 were approved by a vote of 4-0 <br />On a motion of Phil Pacino and seconded by Nils Nordberg the <br />committee voted 4-0 to recommend Article 7. <br />On a motion of Phil Pacino and seconded by Dolores Carroll the <br />committee voted 4-0 to recommend Article 33. <br />On a motion of Nils Nordberg and seconded by Phil Pacino the <br />committee voted 4-0 to recommend Article 18. <br />On a motion of Dolores Carroll and seconded by Nils Nordberg the <br />committee voted 3-1 to not recommend Article 19. <br />On a motion of Phil Pacino and seconded by Nils Nordberg the <br />committee voted 3-1 to not recommend Article 20. <br />Articles 21, 22 and 23 the committee had questions on and agreed <br />to contact Jonathan Edwards for answers. <br />10:00 Meeting adjourned until October 18, 1989. <br />Sincerely, <br />Philip B.
