I <br />ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />MINUTES FEBRUARY 23, 1989 <br />Members Present: Catherine Quimby, Chairman <br />Stephen Tucker <br />Sally Nitzche <br />A meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was held in the <br />Selectmen's Meeting Room, 6 Lowell St. Reading, MA. <br />At 7:40 PM the continued public hearing for Continental Health <br />Care which was continued from January 19, 1989 began. <br />Chairman Quimby read a letter from Latham and Latham dated <br />February 15, 1989 asking for a further continuance of 30 days so <br />that the applicant could continue discussion with the Marshalls <br />Department Store regarding alternative parking on their property. <br />After a brief discussion on the date for the continued public <br />hearing to be held Sally Nitzche moved to continue the public <br />hearing for Continental Health Care until March 30, 1989. Mr. <br />Tucker seconded and the motion passed with a vote of 3-0. <br />At 7:51 PM Stephen Tucker moved to close the public hearing. <br />Sally Nitzche seconded and the motion passed with a vote of 3-0. <br />GENERAL DISCUSSION <br />At 7:55 PM Stephen Tucker discussed the meeting with Fafard that <br />was held on February 16, 1989. The Board discussed the changes <br />in the plans for The Community Center and Greenhouse Acres. <br />The Board then had an informal discussion on the zoning by law <br />change to allow for daycare. <br />PUBLIC HEARING; RULES AND REGULATIONS CONTROLLING THE ZONING <br />BOARD OF APPEALS. <br />There was no public present for this public hearing. The Board <br />discussed the proposed amendments to the Rules and Regula- <br />tions.After a lengthy discussion the amendments were as follows: <br />Section 3 Notice and Public Hearing <br />3.1 add to end of sentence.; first paragraph <br />Assessors, Conservation Commission, Board of Health, Community <br />Planning and Development Commission as well as neighboring com- <br />munities and state agencies. <br />1 <br />
