TOWN OF READING <br />ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />MINUTE NOVEMBER 3, 1994 <br />Members Present: Ardith W ework Chairman <br />Stephen Tucker <br />John Ja.rema <br />meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was held in the <br />Selectmen's meeting Room of the Town Hall, 16 Lowell <br />Street, Reading, at 7:00 P.M <br />The first public hearing was on the petition of Thomas <br />Strandberg who was seeking a Variance/Special Permit under <br />Sections 4.3.2.8.7a and 4.3<2 of the Zoning By-Laws in <br />order to have an Accessory apartment in a new dwelling <br />currently under construction on the property located, at <br />22 Manning Street, Reading, a <br />so Weiworka stated that there was a letter from the <br />applicant stating that he would like to withdraw his <br />application without reudice e It was also noted that the <br />applicant was also present at the meeting. <br />At 7:10 P.M. Mrm Tucker moored to accept the petitioner's <br />request to withdraw his petition without prejudice. Mr. <br />Jarema: seconded and the motion passed with a vote of 3-0 <br />At 7:12 r < Va.ccaro arrived. <br />'the next hearing was the continuation of the hearing on the <br />petition of Andrew Nichols. se Wi,e orka read a letter <br />from Mr. Nichols stating that he had resolved the situation <br />with the Building Inspector and that he would lire to <br />withdraw his petition without prejudice. <br />At 7414 r, Jarema moored, to grant a withdrawal without <br />prejudice to the petitioner, Andrew Nichols, for the <br />property located at 1152 Main Street, Mr. Tucker seconded <br />and the motion passed with a vote of 3-0 <br />`she Board discussed that r. Redmond. had talked with the <br />State Building Inspector and Ted Cohen and. was convinced <br />that the existence of a second kitchen slid not necessarily <br />mean it was a two family. It was discussed that the <br />Nichols and Strander case were in-lair related and not two <br />family situations. It was also discussed that Mr. Redmond <br />was uncomfortable making these decisions and ghat the best <br />way to handle these type of cases would be. <br />
