TOWN OF READING <br />ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />MINUTES OF AUGUST 6, 1998 <br />a e. <br />st€ 4: A <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: CHRISTOPHER VACCARO, CHAIRMAN <br />JOHN COOTE <br />LAURA, GREGORY <br />A meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's <br />Meeting Room of the Town Hall, 16 Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts <br />at 7:OOPM. Mr. Vaccaro swore in, under oath, those present that would be <br />addressing the Board this evening <br />01 <br />The first Public Hearing was ion the petition of-Anita Sybertz who seeks a <br />Special Permit under Section(s) 4.3.2.8 of the Zoning By-Laws in order to <br />allow an accessory apartment to, remain on the property located at 56 <br />Wakefield Street in Reading, Massachusetts. (Case #98-14) <br />The petitioner represented herself. She explained to the Board that she <br />purchased the house one year ago. She received a document at that time <br />from Remax Realtors and told that the apartment was legal. Recently, she <br />decided to do some remodeling to the kitchen.and was denied a building <br />permit. She stated that she lives in the smaller portion of the house and her <br />nephew lives in the main hour with his children. <br />Mr. Coote was concerned abort the exits from the apartment and stated that <br />three parking spaces must be stained on the property. The petitioner <br />presented evidence that the dueling was built prior to August 1, 1982 and <br />the size of the accessory apartment and the building density was appropriate <br />under the by-laws. The Building, Inspector will inspect to make sure that all <br />building code requirements are met and safety devices are installed. The <br />appearance of the house is of a one family and the owner lives on the <br />property. <br />At 7:35PM, a motion was made, seconded and unanimously voted to grant a <br />Special Permit under Section(s) 4.3.2.8.2 of the Zoning By-Laws to allow <br />the existing accessory apartment to remain on the property; provided that <br />there is no change in the front yard parking on the property as it existed on <br />August 1, 1982 and the accessory apartment meets all building coda <br />
