MINUTES BOARD MEETING MAY 12, 1986 <br />Present: F. Richard Felone, Woody Baldwin, Aloyse Jellison, F. Frank <br />Lemaire, Betty Knox, John Montgomery, Jane Soule, Sebastian <br />Tine and Rheta McKinley. <br />Absent: Rosemary Gibbons, Lorna Knapp and Penny Richards. <br />The Board meeting opened at 7:34 p.m. A motion MADE, SECONDED and VOTED <br />to accept the minutes of the previous meeting with one correction. Page <br />one, second paragraph under "Administrative Secretary Report" regarding <br />using all of the $1763. in the Revolving Account for the Shopping <br />Assistance Program. Jane agrees that this program is very important but <br />suggested that we might need some of the money from the Revolving Account <br />for medical transportation as well since Mystic Valley has curtailed <br />medical transportation funding. <br />FINANCIAL REPORT: Jane Soule stated that "everything seemed fine". Motion <br />MADE, SECONDED and VOTED to accept the Financial Report. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY REPORT: Rheta's report was distributed and <br />discussed. All agreed that Rheta was doing a fine job soliciting donations <br />for the Shoppers Fund. Rheta stated there was enough money to carry the <br />program through October which included increasing the hours paid weekly to <br />.Enid. She is presently being paid for 12 hours per week and working between <br />16 and 18 hours. Kathy Robinson of Mystic Valley has agreed to rewrite this <br />portion of the grant to increase the hours to 16 per week. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Volunteer Dinner; Dick felt it was very well organized, had a good turnout <br />and the music was great. <br />Rheta Upgrading; Dick says that Betsy Ray Fuller of the Personnel Board <br />stated that her Board will be meeting in a week or so. She sees no problem <br />in the Personnel Board approving Rheta's upgrading. <br />Proposed By-Laws; Woody will check with the Town By-Law Committee regarding <br />two changes in our By-Laws...Section 3 (1) To ascertain needs of senior <br />citizens (insert "in the community 60 years of age and older".) Section 4 <br />Membership "The Council shall consist of ten members, of whom at least two <br />should be 65 years of age or older"...proposed change to 60 years of age <br />or older. Motion MADE, SECONDED and VOTED "to accept the changes.we have <br />chosen to make and take it from there." <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Personnel Committee: The various job descriptions were reviewed. Jane <br />discussed her recent telephone conversation with Marie Patterson. Apparently <br />Marie is not happy with her slotting and wanted to let Jane know why. Rheta <br />gave Jane a letter addressed to her from the Clerk. Rheta had a copy of <br />this letter as well and due to the sensitive nature of the material, Dick <br />suggested that the Board go into Executive Session. The Board suggested <br />
