MINUTES - Council On Aging - June 13, 1988 <br />Members Present: Rosemary, Gibbons, Gladys Cail, Dick Felone, <br />Loretta Spaulding, Barbara Ritchie, Gertrude Pool, Aloyse Jel <br />lison, <br />Members Absent: Woody Baldwin, Barbara Doucette, Gail Rourke, <br />Sebastine Tine <br />Staff Present: Lois Bond <br />The meeting: was called to order at 5:35 PM by Vice Chairperson, <br />Rosemary Gibbons. <br />No motions were passed during tonights meeting because there <br />wasn't a quorum. <br />Financial Report:, Was given by Lois Bond. The projected balance <br />by June 30, 1988 will be $1,753.64. There may still be some out- <br />standing bills. Aloyse Jellison would like to see the balance go <br />to the dance committee to offset costs. Rosemary Gibbons sug- <br />gested purchasing Webber Kettles. for cookouts. Lois will` check <br />into. <br />Directors Report:- The Board agreed with Rosemary Gibbons that <br />the evaluations of the programs listed in the Director's report <br />were a good idea and would help if these events were held again. <br />The Board discussed each of the evaluations and made suggestions <br />to make the programs better next .time. <br />Summer Evening Program Plans: <br />Cookout at Tannerville July 6th - The Board agreed that reserva- <br />tions should be taken from seniors to get an. approximate count to <br />order enough food. Lois Bond, with help from Aloyse Jellison, <br />will organize the cookout. Menu will be hotdogs and hamburgers. <br />'The Board would like to see-Eugene Nigro and Peter.Hechenbleikner <br />come. The Board needs to find someone to help, fold tables and <br />put away.chairs. A'letter will be written to ask the Patrons for <br />Older Adults for a donation for $250.00 to help cover costs. A <br />follow-up-thank you letter will.be written. <br />Concert at Cedar Glen July 20th.-.Silvertone Orchestra will play <br />-Need to call Sebastian.Tine about arranging. <br />Ice Cream at.Peter'Sanborn Place Aug. 3rd - In previous years, <br />Ice Cream came from Atlantic' Credit line. The Board will, help <br />make and serve. Dick Felone_asked if some Board members could <br />get there early to help set up; perhaps 5:15. Lois will.ask Inid <br />or Norman Clark,to speak. <br />Agnes Dulong: Dick'Felone spoke, as a representative of '.the Coun- <br />cil on Aging. <br />
