Reading School Committee <br />Reading, Massachusetts <br />„ 'lHi,). <br />Regular Session June 13, 2006 <br />Call to Order <br />Chair Webb called the regular session to order at 6:04 p.m. in the Coolidge Middle <br />School Multi-Purpose Room. Present were Ms. Webb, Mr. Dahl, Mrs. Gibbs, Mr. <br />Caruso, Mr. McFadden and Mr. Michaud. Also present were Superintendent Patrick <br />Schettini, and Director of Human Resources and Finance Mary DeLai. <br />Bills and Payrolls <br />Bills and Payrolls were circulated for signature. <br />Citizen's Input <br />There was none. <br />Gifts <br />The Young Women's League of Reading made a donation of $500 to the Parker Middle <br />School for the purchase of a "Type to Learn" site license. <br />Mr. Michaud moved to accept the donation from The Young Women's League of <br />Reading to the Parker Middle School as outlined in the Superintendent's <br />memorandum dated June 8 2006. Ms. Gibbs seconded. The vote was 6-0. Mr. <br />Michaud Mrs. Webb Mr. Caruso Mr. Dahl Mr. McFadden and Mrs. Gibbs. <br />Report of the Liaisons <br />Superintendent Schettini announced that the Reading Friends and Family event was <br />occurring this weekend. The School Committee will have a booth on the common <br />adjacent to the Rotary Club and the Selectmen. There will be information available on <br />the school district. <br />There was a review of the upcoming meeting schedule. <br />There was discussion regarding instituting a maintenance deposit system in association <br />with rental of the turf fields. The deposit would be refundable if there is no <br />damage/debris. <br />
