Present were Mr. Carpenter, Ms. Webb, Mrs. <br />Gibbs, Mr. Dahl and Mr. McFadden. Also present were Superintendent Schettini, <br />Associate Superintendent Richards. <br />BILLS and PAYROLLS <br />Bills and Payrolls were circulating for signature. <br />SUPERINTENDENTS'S REPORT <br />There was discussion regarding the Capital Plan. <br />Mr. Carpenter moved to annrove the subject of the Capital Improvement Plan as <br />spelled out in the Superintendent's memorandum dated April 22, 2004 to be <br />included in the submission to the Finance Committee and Town Meeting and be <br />vw- <br />Gibbs, Mr. Dahl and Mr. McFadden <br />Mr. McFadden left the meeting at 5:55 p.m. <br />Ms. Webb moved to direct the Superintendent to send a statement to Town Counsel, <br />Brackett and Lucas, that the Reading School Committee opposes in the most serious <br />of terms any changes to the Town Charter that would remove custody and care of <br />the School Buildings from the jurisdiction of the Reading School Committee Mrs <br />Gibbs seconded the motion. The vote was 4-0 Mr. Carpenter, Ms Webb, Mrs <br />Gibbs and Mr. Dahl. <br />The Superintendent stated that Michael Gilbert from MASC will be coming to the May <br />10, 2004 School Committee Meeting to give an overview of three School Committee <br />policies. <br />RECESS <br />Mrs. Gibbs moved to recess at 6:30 p.m. to reconvene with the Finance Committee <br />Mr. Carpenter seconded the motion. The vote was 4-0 Mr. Carpenter, Ms Webb, <br />Mrs. Gibbs and Mr. Dahl. <br />
