Minutes, Reading Conservation Commission, July 30, 2003 <br />Minutes of the Conservation Commission r -Q <br />6:00 PM - Harvest Road and Walkers Brook - <br />t< <br />J ` Cr` p <br />7:00 PM - Selectmen's Meeting Room Town Hall " MI A S <br />Wednesday, July 30, 2003 <br />20 A 111: 21~ <br />Present: Commissioners Larry Goulet, Bill Hecht, Doug Greene, Pat Lloyd, Becky <br />Longley, and Kelley Meier; Administrator Fran Fink <br />Old/new business <br />6:00 PM - Harvest Road, Order of Conditions, DEP 270-372, RGB 2002-17 <br />The Commission met at the site with the owner, David Donovan, and the bank restoration <br />consultant, Mickey Marcus. Mr. Marcus described the work that had been carried out <br />since the first week in June on the stream bank and the inner Riverfront Area to stabilize <br />the area. The Commission was concerned about the condition of some of the plants. The <br />Commission asked Mr. Donovan to place matting around the bases of some of the shrubs <br />in the banks. <br />Ms. Lloyd made a motion, seconded by Mr. Hecht, that subject to inspection by the <br />Administrator and the Commission to confirm the additional matting had been applied <br />and watering was continued to assure healthy growth, construction may then proceed. <br />' Voted 6-0-0 in favor. <br />The Commission will inspect the site again on Wednesday, August 6 at 6:00 PM. <br />7:00 PM <br />24 Harold Avenue, Order of Conditions, DEP 270-303, RGB 1998-13 - The <br />Commission signed the Certificate of Compliance and bond release in the amount of <br />$5,000.00 for this project. <br />41 A Street - The Commission approved a Minor Project permit for an above-ground <br />swimming pool. ' Vote 6 in favor, 0 opposed. <br />700 Haverhill Street - The Commission approved a Minor Project permit for a shed. <br />Vote 6 in favor, 0 opposed. <br />Land between #51 and #67 Sanborn Lane, Notice of Intent, DEP 270-405, RGB 2003- <br />23 <br />The Commission reviewed and amended draft Findings and Conditions for the Order of <br />Conditions. <br />Ms. Meier made a motion to grant a variance for the project from Section 3.1) of the <br />Reading Wetlands Protection Regulations. Mr. Hecht seconded. -The CommissioIn voted <br />-0 in favor, 6 opposed, and the motion did not carry. <br />
