Minutes, Reading Conservation Commission, May 26, 2004 <br />Joe Cloonan of the Reading Open Land Trust said ROLT was in contact with the applicant <br />about possible donation of some portion of the land to them. <br />Bill moved and Jamie seconded to continue the hearing to June 9, 2004 at 8:00 PM. Voted <br />4-0 in favor. <br />Public Meeting, Request for Determination of Applicability, 53 Batchelder Road, RGB <br />2004-19 <br />The Chairman opened the meeting. <br />Alicia Botticelli-Tarasuk presented the plan to move a shed, cut 3 trees, plants shrubs and <br />lawn, and add fencing in the back yard. Proposed work is in.the Buffer Zone. <br />The Commission asked for information on the species of shrubs to be planted and asked that <br />the extension of the lawn end 25 feet or more from the rear lot line. The applicant agreed <br />this limit. The Commission reviewed and revised draft Conditions. <br />Will moved and Bill seconded to issue a negative Determination with the Conditions as <br />amended this evening. Voted 4-0 in favor. <br />Public Hearing, Notice of Intent, between 201 and 275 Salem Street, DEP 270-423, <br />RGB 2004-13 <br />At the request of the applicant the hearing was postponed to June 23, 2004 at 7:45 PM. <br />Public Hearing, Request to Amend Order of Conditions, DEP 270-352, RGB 2001-14, <br />Walkers Brook Crossing <br />The Chairman opened the hearing. <br />Brad Latham, Attorney, and Ed Shaw, Dickinson Development, were present. <br />The Commission reviewed a letter drafted by Fran concerning the revised site plans. Mr. <br />Shaw presented additional plans to change the face of the retaining wall in certain areas <br />from vegetation to stone. The draft letter was amended. The Commission asked for a site <br />visit and a final construction sequence to be scheduled in the near future. <br />Bill moved and Will seconded to close the hearing. Voted 4-0 in favor. <br />Public Hearing, Notice of Intent, 26 Glenmere Circle, RGB 2004-20 <br />The Chairman opened the hearing and presented the Commission's site visit report. <br />Kevin McDermott, the applicant, was present and described the proposed work to add a <br />room and a garage to the house. <br />Fran gave a site visit report and described observations of soils, plants, and surface water that indicate the wetlands boundary includes much of the rear and side yards. Thus, at least <br />part of the proposed work would be in the wetland, and any remainder would not meet the <br />
