July 11,02 <br />RECEIVED <br />OWN' CLERK <br />HRAC MINUTES --°l~.MASS. <br />2002 DEC A 8: S s <br />1. Meeting began at about 7:35PM with a quorum present <br />of five members. Margaret Soli, Edward Toland, Paul <br />Kelley, Sheri Breen, Phil Maher and with Carol Roberts in <br />attendance. <br />2. Sheri Breen our new member was introduced and <br />welcomed to the group. Another new member or designee <br />from the school committee has not been appointed yet. <br />3. The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and <br />passed. <br />- 4. The information brochure to be printed for distribution <br />was brought up. A change in wording was proposed by Phil <br />Maher and after some discussion Paul Kelly proposed the <br />words "strength and community" could be added to one <br />paragraph. Ed Toland initiated a discussion about the word <br />"perception" at some length. Margaret Soli will go ahead to <br />make proposed corrections, have the printing done and <br />coordinate distribution. <br />5. Margaret Soli reported the High school and middle <br />schools would be very busy in preparations for various <br />accreditation and testing. And mandatory classes for <br />teachers would not be funded. It was approved that a draft <br />recommendation be written to present to the selectmen <br />asking for a voluntary training. This will be reviewed at our <br />next meeting. <br />
