Called to order: 7:59 <br />2. Downtown parking: Frank Romeo, the traffic consultant, promised David to <br />consider the 3 lane pattern through downtown. The Board of Selectmen are meeting <br />to night to approve the plans for the Common. <br />3. Treasurer's report: attached Roberta presented a bill for photos for the F-E <br />house to the special fund. A grant proposal was submitted to the Celebration Trust for <br />funds to purchase a new computer for the archives. <br />4. Virginia moved to appoint Mark as a member of the Celebration Trust, 5-0-0. <br />5. Senior Center roof: Artificial slate roof is defective and the manufacturer is <br />bankrupt so there is no recourse to them. The roof must be replaced. Real slate <br />would cost $98,000. Asphalt would cost $38,000. Louise made a motion that the <br />commission support the use of slate for the replacement roof on the senior center, 5-0- <br />0. The commission members will gather some information. Virginia suggested we <br />write a letter with all our reasons including a packet of info. <br />6. Water tower: No news. <br />7. Foster-Emerson house: David and Roberta visited the house within the last <br />month. The Sidelinkers want to be in the house by April 1. <br />8. March 25, 7:30 at the senior center Thursday. N. Reading, Stoneham, <br />Wilmington are coming. Mass historical is coming. Our report will include our <br />achievements over the last 2 years. <br />9. Adjourned: 9:45.
