L/ <br />1, lk <br />Reading Historical Commission Meeting Minutes 17 March 20 0~ e <br />Meeting called to order at 3:00 pm in the Conference Room <br />r <br />LU, <br />Commission Members in attendance included: <br />Virginia Adams Roberta Sullivan <br />Sharlene Reynolds Santo, acting secretary Mark Cardono <br />Topics discussed: <br />• Treasurers reports - Roberta requested reimbursement for $11.02 for photo printing done at <br />CVS; Sharlene moved that Roberta be reimbursed for this expense. Virginia seconded; all in <br />favor. After this expenditure there will be $778.42 available. <br />• A letter was sent to the Zoning Board of Appeals to support the 10 Pierce St Project <br />A letter was sent to Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) requesting that the RHC be added to their <br />distribution list of agenda. <br />• ZBA met last night an approved a special permit for multi residential use of 10 Pierce St with <br />conditions. These conditions include the inclusion of preservation restrictions yet to be <br />finalized. The developer thanked the RHC for their support. <br />• 30-32 Elliott / 100-102 Green Sts Virginia moved under section 5.13.3.3 that the structure at <br />30-32 Elliot St/100-102 Green St Reading, MA be voted that it is Potentially Significant and <br />appears on the historical and architectural inventory Sharlene seconded the motion. All in <br />favor 4-0. Roberta motioned that a hearing be set for 3 April at 8:45 pm in the Town hall <br />Conference room. Mark seconded the motion. All in favor 4-0. Virginia will send the notice to <br />the Chronicle and to Maureen for distribution and email Brad Latham regarding the date. <br />Roberta will get the notice to the town clerk. <br />• 420 Franklin - Brad Latham sent a letter on the behalf of the applicant/owners dated March 14th <br />asking the RHC to continue the hearing. There are conservation issues that have yet to be <br />resolved between the owner and the conservation commission. After the receipt of the letter 3 <br />copies of plans to demolition were received from Latham's office. Roberta moved to continue <br />the hearing as requested to April 3rd at 7:45 pm in the Town hall conference room. Sharlene <br />seconded. There was no discussion. Vote in favor 3-0-1 Virginia was not here for the beginning <br />of the hearing so she abstained. A letter will be sent to Brad Latham regarding the continuation. <br />There is a meeting with the Conservation Commission regarding 420 Franklin St on 22 March <br />siting a new house. <br />• CPDC meets on March 274h <br />• Virginia spoke of a letter received by a student regarding a house now in Wilmington. Virginia <br />will contact the student. <br />• RHC received a membership renewal request from Preservation on Mass at $50.00 annually. <br />Sharlene moved that the commission approved the expenditure of $50.00 to continue this <br />membership. Roberta seconded: All in favor 4-0. <br />e Roberta motioned that we send out a list of Historical and Architectural Inventoried Properties <br />to realtors, local real estate lawyers, to each town board member and to the Town Clerks office. <br />Mark seconded this motion. All in Favor 4-0 <br />• Archives update. An attempt has been made to photograph valuation books so as to continue <br />abstraction project the actual photographing is easy, but better lighting will be needed. Mark <br />suggested using adobe software. <br />• Meeting adjourned at 4 pm <br />• Due to elections on the April 4th the next monthly meeting had to be rescheduled to 3 April 2006 <br />at 7:30 pm. <br />
