Kathy reviewed the methodology of the draft letter. Roberta put together a Power Point Presentation
for the Conservation Commission on Wednesday June 14, 2006 at 8:30 PM. Roberta noted that the process is long.
Virginia added that the variance requires a positive vote of 4 out of 7 members.
Kathy read the letter for The Commission's review. The letter points out the historic significance of the house and The
Commission's position on saving the house. Modifications were discussed and made to the letter.
Clay suggested having the Conservation Commission tour the house when they have a site visit to review the
wetlands. The site visit will happen during the upcoming weekend of June 10 and 11, 2006. Virginia will find out
when the site visit will take place. Virginia wants to put together an outline for the presentation. Roberta suggested
putting out a press release about the forthcoming hearing. Virginia said the abutters have been notified, and that
Peter Hechenbleikner and Ben Tafoya, our Selectmen liaison should also be notified. Virginia asked what information
The Commission would like to present to the Conservation Commission. Roberta will ask Fran Fink to send The
Commission the report she is preparing. Clay asked if we should ask Marilyn Fenollosa, of Mass Historic, to speak at
the hearing. She has offered to help in these types of situations.
A meeting with Peter Hechenbleikner has been scheduled for Friday June 9, 2006 at 9:00 AM.
Virginia brought up that the property is in the aquifer zone. Peter Hechenbleikner responded to the Nelson Day letter.
Friends and Family Day:
Linda needs help. Sharlene will help. Susan may be able to help. Linda will call Karen to see if she can help.
717 Pearl Street barn:
Clay asked if we should follow up with Paul Seagull about the barn.
Adjourned 10:10 PM
RHC Minutes Rhc2006O6O6.doc Page 1 of 1
