VED ;V CLERn Board of Health Meeting �.Dr MASS. Minutes tJ October 10, 2002 �� The meeting was called to order at 6:03 P.M. Reading Town Hall, Berger Room, and 16 Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts, James J. Nugent, Chairman, Colleen Seferian and Barbara Meade and staff liaison Jane Fiore, Health Services Administrator were present. The minutes of the September 12, 2002 were accepted as read. 3:0:0. - Next order of business: • Administrative report : • Safe and Drug Free schools grant discussed reduction to $13,434 • New clerical staff—Sam Ok working out well within the department. • Flu vaccine reduced by 15% -20%. We have gone from 2,000 doses to 1500 doses. The plan to strictly follow the Department of Public Health guidelines before administrating immunization. • Meeting adjourned • Public Hearing regarding Dumpster regulations called to order at 6:10 P.M. • 6 written comments regarding the Dumpster regulation change read into minutes. • 3 individuals offered opinion to the Board of Health regarding the regulation change. • Regulation change a. fine from$50 to 100 not objection by public b. Annual permits- $100/yearly and$30/temporary Input from public too high,too costly • The Board thanked all those present, Brian Catalano, Reading Car Care fee too high should have to just fence in the Dumpster. Kevin Brown,Auto repair,has only dry trash would have increase in number of pickups before wanting to pay permit fee. And noted their opinions would be taken under advisement. • Public Hearing adjourned at 6:40 p.m. (3:0:0) Board of Health meeting called to order to complete business • Continued discussion regarding the dumpster • Review regulations again and continue to discuss need to have dry or wet Dumpster regulations I permits.
