S a ~f <br />n T <br />Board of Health Meeting <br />Minutes <br />March 11, 2004 <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:05 P.M. Reading Town Hall, Berger Room, 16 <br />Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts, Chairman, Colleen Seferian. Member present <br />Barbara Meade, and David Singer and staff liaison Jane Fiore, Health Services <br />Administrator. <br />The minutes of the December 11, 2003 minutes accepted 3:0:0. January 8,2004 minutes <br />accepted as read voted 2:1:0. Meeting of February 12, 2004 canceled. <br />Next order of business: <br />• Discussion of Bio-terrorism coalition funds. $2,000 to each of the seven communities <br />for a lap top computer and a desk portal. The coalition will divide the remaining <br />$34,000 by purchasing communication equipment and materials that each town will <br />utilize. The funds must all be spent by June 30, 2004 before the next installment of <br />the grant will be issued. The seven representatives continue to meet 1-2 times per <br />month. <br />• The well regulation review will be completed at the April 8, 2004 Board of Health <br />meeting <br />• Meeting with the Reading memorial High School PTO to inform them of the <br />Menomune clinic and to also request a donation in order to decrease the cost of the <br />immunization. The Health Administrator and the Public Health Nurse will present the <br />information to the high school PTO on March 17, 2004. Barbara Meade suggested <br />the clinic be advertised in the web page, cable and of course the newspapers. Each <br />member of the senior class will receive a letter and application for the immunization <br />by mail. The clinic will be held at the high school during school hours on April 29, <br />2004 at 8;30 am <br />Administrative report: <br />• Update on Medicare reimbursement as of March 11, 2004 no funds received <br />as yet. <br />ffi Certificate of Excellence for Food Establishments reviewed for suggested <br />correction and signatures. <br />• Radio frequency report from antennas at water tower site remains within <br />Federal Aviation Administration regulation limits. <br />
