Board of Health Meeting <br /> Minutes <br /> April 8,2004 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 6:05 P.M. Reading Town Hall, Berger Room, 16 <br /> Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts, Chairman, Colleen Seferian. Member present <br /> Barbara Meade, staff liaison Jane Fiore, Health Services Administrator. <br /> The minutes of the March 11, 2004 tabled. <br /> Next order of business: <br /> • Bio-terrorism coalition update. Lap tops purchased and cell phones 2 for each <br /> community with universal plan paid for 3 year term. The group continues to meet <br /> regarding training and use of funds. <br /> • The well regulation reviewed to be voted on at the May 13, 2004 Board of Health <br /> meeting. <br /> • Meeting with the Reading Memorial High School PTO donated$100 to Menormine <br /> clinic costs as well as $250 donated by principal's discretionary fund. The students <br /> Will be charged $50 this year as opposed to the $75 fee of last year for the <br /> immunization. <br /> • Well regulation discussed. Section 8.2.4 will be changed and brought to the board for <br /> vote at the May 13, 2004 meeting for ffirther discussion and vote. <br /> • Discussion regarding dumpster permit issued after application accepted. The <br /> temporary permits will be discarded after 6 months. This will assist in tracking fees <br /> and dumpsters. Vote 2:0:0 <br /> Administrative Report: <br /> • Update on Medicare reimbursement as of May 13, 2004 $5,7414 received <br /> • Certificate of Excellence for Food Establishments reviewed for suggested <br /> correction and signatures will review again at May 8 meeting to discuss Board <br /> signing certificate or not signing certificate. <br /> • Cholesterol screening clinics for the general public have gone smoothly. 10 <br /> persons per clinic. At a charge of$10 each booked through the month of June. <br /> .......... <br />
