Reading Town Hall, Berger Room, 16 <br />Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts, Chairman, Colleen Seferian. Members present <br />Barbara Meade, and David Singer staff liaison Jane Fiore, Health Services Administrator. <br />The minutes of the April 8, 2004 accepted as amended. Minutes of May 13, 2004 <br />accepted as read. <br />Note: David M. Singer, D.M.D. <br />Next order of business: <br />• Bio-terrorism coalition update. $130,000 spending plan completed for State <br />Department of Public Health. <br />• 10 Haven Street Project ( Johnson's Hardware) update with board discussion. <br />• Administrative Report: <br />• Public Health Nurse last day is June 11. Temporary nurse will be hired for 10-12 <br />hours per week. <br />• Cholesterol clinics functioning with 10-12 clients per clinic/month cost raised to <br />$10.00/test. <br />• Certificate of Excellence for Food Establishments reviewed there will be no <br />Board signatures on certificates. <br />Certificates will be used beginning July 2004. <br />• Mosquito control. DPW ready with pesticide licenses to drop Vectolex WSP <br />in storm drains. Town Meeting transferred $1700 from free cash to BOH <br />budget to cover cost of 2800 vectolex pouches. Town storm drain canvas with <br />mosquito larvacide will begin at the end of June. <br />• Camps. and pool inspections and licensures issued and inspections continue <br />throughout the summer. <br />• The Girl Scout Gold Award health assessment tool is complete. Callie <br />Beckwith will gather a minimum of 200 surveys before the tally is done. <br />• Sealer of Weights and Measures completed a survey of businesses using item <br />scanning approximately 88 % return. <br />
