i°t~~: r <br />-tr E D <br />_ J <br />C1ERK <br />Board of Health Meeting <br />Minutes <br />November 10, 2005, 2005 <br />L6 tJ <br />L' -0 P L€ 1:2 <br />The Board of Health meeting was called to order on November 10, 2005 by Chairmen Colleen <br />Seferian at 6:05 pm at the Town Hall, Berger Room. Those present at the meeting were <br />Barbara Meade, David Singer and staff liaison Jane Fiore. <br />Business: <br />• Minutes of October 20, 2005 were accepted as read (vote3:0:0.) <br />• Barbara Meade reported on the Logan Airport Fly Over Committee. No information or <br />complaints forwarded to the Town. The minutes and notification of any changes <br />effecting Reading continue to be the operating procedure. <br />Tobacco youth sale compliance check update. Three sales were made on the latest <br />compliance check. Brooks, JK Market and Cumberland Farms all sold. <br />• Mosquito Control Program suspended for the winter months. <br />• Review of 2006 goals and objectives for the Board and Division was tabled to review at <br />a later date. <br />• Septic Case at 113 Longwood Road update all information on correction and pumping <br />records have been received by homeowner. Next due date is April 25, 2006. <br />• Fluoride Infusion and water usage reports reviewed. As reported fluoride is available to <br />the Town water treatment plant until June 30, 2005. Peter Tassi will continue efforts to <br />secure fluoride during this present national shortage and he will continue to keep the <br />Health division informed. The state department of Public Health has provided <br />information and suggestions if there is any change in fluoride additive. There will be <br />notification to all health care providers and dental offices if there are any interruptions <br />of fluoride in public water supply by the Health Division. <br />• Report offered by Barbara Meade regarding meeting with Selectman, Camille Anthony, <br />Town manager, Health Administrator and Holly Stump a representative from the <br />Northshore Kennel club with interest and expertise in dangerous dog By Laws. The <br />discussion may lead to full review and potential of dangerous dog to vivacious dog By <br />law brought before Town Meeting in spring. Further information will come to the BOH <br />from the Town manager. <br />• Review of Regulations: <br />Section 16 - Tobacco regulations reviewed and adoption of State Regulation 105 <br />CMR 661.000 Tobacco use in the workplace. Motion to accept addition to <br />regulation made by Barbara Meade seconded by David Singer and voted 3:0:0 to <br />remove the words In the event of to include only First Offense Second Offense, <br />Third Offence. Revision effective 12/1/05 <br />
