E R K <br />MINUTES 3,Ef^DING, MASS. <br />September 11, 2008 2008 DEC 10 A 10i 21 <br />The Board of Health meeting was called to order on September 11, 2008 at 6:04 pm by <br />Chairman Barbara Meade at the Berger Room, Town Hall. Those present at the meeting <br />were Barbara Meade Chair, and Colleen Seferian and Dr. David Singer. <br />In attendance: Larry Ramdin, Staff Liaison/ Health Services Administrator. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Minutes of meeting held on June 12, 2008 were read and accepted 3:0:0 <br />Election of officers <br />Barbara Meade was nominated for the post of Chairman, by Colleen Seferian, seconded <br />by Dr. David Mitchell Singer. Vote 3:0:0, Barbara Meade elected Chairman of the Board <br />of Health for 2008-2009 term. <br />Colleen Seferian was nominated by Dr David Mitchell Singer for the post of Vice-Chair <br />of the Board of Health, seconded by Barbara Meade. Vote 3:0:0. Colleen Hennessey- <br />Seferian Elected Board of Health Vice -Chair for the 2008-2009 term. <br />Appointment of Agents of the Board of Health <br />Agents of the Board for enforcement of public health laws and regulations were <br />presented for re-appointment and were reappointed by the Board 3: 0:0. See attached list. <br />The Board also appointed Health Division staff as Agents of the Board without <br />expiration. Non- Health Division staff will continue, to be appointed on an annual basis. <br />NALBOH Survey <br />The National Association of Local Boards of Health requested that the BOH complete a <br />survey. The demographics were completed and Health Administrator will fill in the rest <br />of information and forward to NALBOH. <br />License Date Change <br />The Board has received a request from the Town Administration to reschedule its <br />licensing dates to a calendar year cycle instead of Fiscal year (as is currently done), so <br />that all town issued permits will expire at the same time. The Board enquired as to the <br />impact on the Health division and the licensees. The impact will not have as great an <br />effect the Health Division as it would the licensees. The proposal is to license initially for <br />an eighteen (18) month period, instead of 12 months to accommodate the changes, in that <br />
