MA 01867 <br />Reading Cultural Council Meeting Minutes Oct. 24, 2001 <br />7:30pm at the Reading Public Library <br />Members in attendance: Harold Bond, Anna Dixon, Ann Rotondo, Diana LaVancher, Allison <br />DaSilva, Joyce Holt and Judy Junker. <br />MARK HYSON <br />Ann Rotondo called Mark Hyson. He received the message and will call Ann back <br />Allison Da Silva received a call from Mark. She tried to call him back and he already submitted <br />it to the office. <br />Allison DaSilva submitted the minutes as corrected and Anna seconded the motion to accept the <br />minutes as amended. <br />TREASURERS REPORT - NO CHANGES <br />There are no changes on the Treasurer's Report as submitted at the previous meeting on Oct. 3, <br />2001. <br />MCC LETTER FROM DANIEL KERCHNER <br />A letter from Daniel Kerchner was read by all council members saying that the funds from the <br />state are not available yet and to proceed as usual in the grant cycle, based on last year's grant <br />money. <br />We will meet on schedule and vote on approved grants without fmalzing allocations and we will <br />send out the denial letters to allow for the two week appeal process. <br />SEMINAR FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />A Conflict of Interest seminar is coming up on 11/6/01 7-9:30PM at the Coolidge Middle <br />School. All council members are required to attend it at least once during their years of service. <br />Attending the seminar gives RCC members protection if a conflict of interest complaint is <br />brought against a council member. <br />
