LW agreed to learn more about it and report to the Council at the October meeting.
PUBLICITY
LW noted that the council had received "above the fold" coverage in the Chronicle announcing
the recipients of funding for 2007-2008. With applications for this year due by October 15, the
call for proposals has been publicized on the Community Connection website and has been sent
to both the Chronicle and the Advocate. LW agreed to send a copy of the press release to council
members. Applications are available online as well as at Town Hall and at the Library. SF agreed
to submit the press release to Reading Community Television for inclusion in its between-shows
community bulletin board.
OFFICERS
After a review of the roles of council officers it was VOTED and AGREED that:
• Liz Whitelam would continue to serve as chairperson
• Vicky Schubert would continue to serve at secretary
• Lorraine Horn would assume the role of treasurer
It was suggested that we entertain nominations for the remaining open roles at the next meeting.
Next meeting scheduled for Monday, October 27 at 7:30, in Police Station Community Room.
Respectfully submitted,
Vicky Schubert
