A' ~Reading Senior Center-Game Room <br />UIM, -2 P 12* 42 <br />Present were: Betty Cronin, Edwina Kasper, Carole Scrima, Stacey Bertocchi, Sally Hoyt, <br />Marguerite Bosnian, Barbara Powers, Margaret Havey, Dawn Folopoulos (staff), and Charlie <br />McDonald (associate member). <br />Absent: Carol Patterson, Ruth Goldberg. <br />6:30 Meeting Called to Order <br />February 12, 2007 minutes were approved. <br />Administrator's Report approved and accepted. <br />Financial Report approved and accepted. <br />Old Business <br />Dawn provided an update about the Nurse Advocate position. It is off the Town Meeting <br />Agenda for FY07. <br />Medical Rides update: The Hospital Trust Fund agreed to fund medical rides (Reading <br />Response) in and out of town for those that meet the income limits. Use of the Elder Service <br />Van is not income based and is only for in-town rides. <br />New Business <br />The fourth Annual Reading Friends and Family Day will be held on June 30, 2007. We will need <br />volunteers to man the table. We also discussed having a gift basket to raffle. <br />There was a discussion about how to create a fair policy for attendance at very popular Senior <br />Center Events. <br />REHS requested volunteer applications from those board members who had not yet completed <br />the application process. <br />Civil Behavior Questionnaires were distributed. Completed questionnaires were returned to <br />Dawn and will be delivered to the Assistance Town Manager. <br />Dawn distributed a newspaper article from The Reading Advocate that featured the was in which <br />The Silver Hair Legislature and Sally Hoyt are advocating for the seniors of Reading. <br />Motion to Adjourn 7:55 - Next month's meeting will be held on Monday, April 9, 2007. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Stacey Bertocchi <br />
