Town of Reading <br />Board of Cemetery Trustees <br />Tuesday, June 7, 1994 <br />Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of June 7, 1994 <br />convened at 7:30 P.M. in the Berger Conference Room, Reading Town <br />Hall. <br />Present: John Silvaggi, Chairman <br />Joyce K. Miller, Vice-Chairman <br />Daniel F. Driscoll, Secretary <br />Edward F. Fuller <br />James J. Sullivan <br />Director Robert Keating of the Cemetery Division was also <br />present. <br />1. Secretary's Report <br />On a motion by Mr. Fuller, seconded by Mr. Sullivan, it was unan- <br />imously voted to accept the Secretary's minutes of the May 4, <br />1994 Trustees meeting. <br />2. Memorial Day Review <br />Director Keating reported that all repairs were made, markers set <br />and flowers placed on all veterans graves. Custodian of Veterans <br />Graves, Frank Driscoll did his usual good job. Additional flag <br />holders will be needed as the number of veterans graves are in- <br />creasing. Mr. Driscoll will see the Town Manager with this re- <br />quest. <br />3. 350th. Anniversarv <br />Cemetery personnel worked on Saturday during the parade - direct- <br />ing the public using the facilities at Laurel Hill to view the <br />parade, and policing the grounds. <br />4. Capitol Protects <br />Director Keating advised that his Capitol Project request for <br />FY95 was $10,000 for continued road repairs at Laurel Hill and <br />$10,000 for road work and extension of the wall at Charles Lawn, <br />plus $30,000 for Franklin St. Town Meeting approved $40,000 - <br />$30,000 for Cemetery development and $10,000 for Laurel Hill road <br />work. <br />Regarding the Franklin St. Cemetery the survey team is still in <br />the initial engineering phase.. Further development plans will be <br />started after the survey is completed. <br />5. Receipts <br />Director Keating furnished the Trustees with copies of the <br />receipts from the Sale of Lots and Miscellaneous charges for July <br />1993 through May 27, 1994. <br />
