Town of Reading <br />Board of Cemetery Trustees <br />Tuesday, January 31, 1995 <br />Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of January 31, <br />1995 convened at 7:30 P.M. in the Arnold Berger Meeting Room, <br />Reading Town Hall. <br />Present: John Silvaggi, Chairman <br />Joyce Miller, Vice Chairman <br />Daniel F. Driscoll, Secretary <br />Edward F. Fuller <br />Mary Vincent <br />Town Treasurer, Beth Klepeis and Robert Keating, Supervisor of <br />the Reading Cemeteries, were also present. <br />1. Secretary Minutes <br />On a motion by Mr. Fuller, seconded by Ms. Vincent it was unani- <br />mously voted to accept the Secretary's minutes of the January 3, <br />1995 Trustees Meeting. <br />2. Funding Wood End Cemetery Development <br />Beth Klepeis furnished the Trustees with two draft proposals for <br />the funding which she explained in detail: <br />Plan A - Permanent ten year bonding starting in FY 1997. <br />Plan B - Short term for up to five (5) years on Bond Antici- <br />pation Notes. Both plans would be for $200,000. <br />Ms. Klepeis also explained methods for repaying the debt. The <br />Trustees thanked Ms. Klepeis for her detailed presentation and <br />agreed to take the matter under advisement. <br />3. Wood End Horse Ring <br />Supervisor Keating advised that he had received an inquiry from a <br />Reading resident concerning purchasing the Horse Ring. After <br />discussion it was agreed that Mr. Keating arrange to have a <br />notice published in the Suburban News that the Horse Ring would <br />be awarded to the highest bidder from Reading. <br />4. Budget Handouts <br />Supervisor Keating furnished the Trustees with copies of the FY <br />1996 Budget which included the Town Manager's recommendations. <br />His budget included two significant changes in the budget sub- <br />mitted by Mr. Keating and approved by the Trustees. <br />a) A decrease in the Gasoline - Diesel item. it should be noted <br />gasoline has increased 5 cents a gallon in the last month. <br />b) An increase in Veteran's flowers by $600.00, plus an increase <br />in Veteran's Flags by $400.00. This brings the total to $3,800 <br />with $2568 funded by the Cemetery. <br />
