Town of Reading <br />Board of Cemetery Trustees 'SE? S <br />Tuesday, July 2, 1996 <br />Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of July 2, 1996 convened at 7:30 P.M. in the <br />Berger Room, Reading Town Hall Annex, Reading, MA. <br />Present: John M. Silvaggi, Chairman <br />Mary Vincent, Secretary <br />Randolph Harrison <br />Daniel F. Driscoll <br />Ronald O'Connell <br />William Brown <br />Robert Keating, Superintendent of Cemeteries was also in attendance. <br />Review of Past Meeting Minutes <br />On a motion by John Silvaggi, seconded by Daniel Driscoll, the minutes were accepted <br />unanimously. <br />Uodate of Wood _End Development <br />Construction has begun on the stone wall. It has a 24" foundation and there will be 80 yards of <br />concrete used. Construction of actual wall should be finished by the end of July. Water systems <br />and faucets are to be connected July 3, 1996. Hay from the Parker School development project <br />will be used by the Cemetery at a cost savings of about $800. Superintendent Keating feels that <br />the lawn will be put in this Fall. <br />FY96 Budget Shortfall <br />A Budget shortfall of about $1500. was brought to the attention of the Trustees. The shortfall is <br />due to a cut-back in our budget of fuel allowance, clothing and shoes expenditure mandated by <br />the Union, and our electrical service being changed from residential to commercial rates. After <br />much discussion it was voted to make-up this shortfall from the Bequest Fund. <br />Reorganization of the Board of Trustees <br />On a unanimous vote by the Board, the following officers were elected: <br />Daniel Driscoll, Chairman <br />John Silvaggi, Vice Chairman <br />Mary Vincent, Secretary <br />
