Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of June 3, 1998 convened a: <br />in the Berger Room, Reading Town Hall Annex, Reading, MA 01867 <br />Present: Daniel Driscoll, Chairman <br />John Silvaggi, Vice-Chairman <br />Mary Vincent, Secretary <br />William Brown <br />Randolph Harrison <br />Robert Keating, Superintendent of Cemeteries was also in attendance. <br />Review of Past Meeting Minutes <br />The minutes were accepted as amended. Randolph Harrison felt the request of Mrs. <br />Melandy in the May minutes should be clarified. The minutes were accepted as <br />amended on a motion by William Brown, seconded by John Silvaggi. <br />Memorial Day Services <br />Superintendent Keating reported that the Memorial Day services had been very well <br />attended. There was a Marine Detachment in full regalia as well as a crew from the <br />U.S.S. Constitution. <br />Donation of Trash Barrels <br />Margaret and Mary Slack have donated $1,500.00 to purchase eight metal trash barrels <br />for Forest Glen Cemetery. The Trustees accept with gratitude this generous donation. <br />Review of Parks/Forestry and Cemetery Division Consolidation <br />Superintendent Keating reported on the consolidation. He outlined for the Trustees some <br />of the communication problems he has faced as far as the maintenance of the Town parks <br />and school playing fields has been. Superintendent Keating got a late start in rectifying <br />some of the problems for this years activities. <br />Wood End Update <br />The Highway Department is putting in the drainage system. The finished roadway will <br />be in by early Summer. <br />f,, <br />
