Town of Reading <br />Board of Cemetery Trustees <br />Tuesday, July 6, 1999 <br />Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of July 6, 1999 convened at 6:05 P.M. in the <br />Berger Room, Reading Town Hall Annex, Reading, MA 01867 <br />Present: Daniel Driscoll, Chairman <br />Mary Vincent, Vice Chair <br />William Brown, Secretary <br />Steve Meehan <br />Absent Trustee: Roc O'Connell <br />One vacant seat <br />Robert Keating, Superintendent of Cemeteries was also in attendance. <br />Review of Past Meeting Minutes <br />Reviewed and approved minutes of June 1, 1999. <br />Wood End Update <br />Finished paving done in house by D.P.W. <br />Trustees reviewed proposed new center wall and island circle walkways, will wait until completion <br />to determine if it should be an urn garden (revenue). <br />Superintendent Keating stated they will upgrade the sprinkler system in Charles Lawn, the old <br />system is not the correct system. He will obtain cost to replace chain link fence in Laurel Hill; <br />piggy back on proposed replacement of fence for schools. <br />Letter will be sent to Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee expressing concerns of Mr. <br />Keatings dead end upgrade, and potential loss. Trustees wish to express concern to return to full <br />time superintendent. <br />Trustees reviewed year end revenue, showing that revenue was off by approximately $40,000 this <br />is due to lower lot sales. <br />The Chair expressed concerns in dropping pre Memorial Day review, Trustees pledge to do so next <br />year. <br />C1 <br />
