Town of Reading <br />Board of Cemetery Trustees <br />Tuesday, June 5, 2001 <br />C ERl`y <br />Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of June 5, 2001 convened at &b0'P.Tv ?in t`446rger <br />Room, 16 Lowell Street, Reading Town Hall. 2OQI AU -8 P 1; 31 <br />Present: Mary Vincent, Chairman <br />Daniel Driscoll, Vice Chairman <br />William Brown, Secretary <br />Roc O'Connell <br />Steve Meehan <br />Janet Baronian <br />Also Present: Robert Keating, Superintendent; Gail Wood, Board of Selectmen <br />Review of Past Meeting Minutes <br />The Minutes of May 15, 2001 were reviewed and were accepted on a motion by Roc O'Connell and <br />seconded by Steve Meehan. <br />General Business <br />Bob Keating reported that a 47 year old Reading woman was caught stealing flowers with her 2 year <br />old grandchild, police will follow up. He explained the policy about the flag at the war memorial in <br />response to a question by Mr. Bill Hughes, he is directed by the Town Manager unless there is a <br />veteran being buried. <br />The Board reviewed a letter by the Chair to DPW Director, Ted McIntire about Bob Keating's <br />performance evaluation and approved the letter. The Board discussed the performance evaluation <br />form with Selectman Wood along with the issue of Bob Keating's being at the top of his grade and the <br />lack of being able to get a step increase. Selectman Wood will review the policy with Town Manager. <br />The Board voted 6-0 to approve a new price structure dated July 1, 2001 to reflect the new labor <br />contract for Saturday and Holidays, and fuel costs of burial boxes. <br />Receipts <br />Receipts are above expectations. <br />Adjourn <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:09PM.
