Town of Reading <br />Board of Cemetery Trustees <br />Tuesday, October 7, 2003 <br />Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of October 7, 2003 convened at 6:00 P.M. in <br />the Berger Room, 16 Lowell Street, Reading Town Hall. <br />Present: Mary Vincent, Chairman <br />Roc O'Connell, Vice Chairman <br />William Brown, Secretary <br />Daniel Driscoll <br />Janet Baronian <br />Absent: Steve Meehan <br />F 4 <br />Also Present: Robert Keating, Superintendent <br />Review of Past Meeting Minutes <br />The Minutes of September 2, 2003 were reviewed and approved on a motion by Daniel Driscoll <br />and seconded by Janet Baronian. <br />General Business <br />The Trustees voted 5-0 to use $75,000 from the PC funds, $145,000 fees and $40,000 from sale <br />of lots for a total of $260,815. <br />Budget FY05, after lengthy talk, the trustees, on advice that the tomb would cost $3,000 to <br />survey and between 50 & 60 thousand to rebuild, felt that because of budgets, not to go any <br />further at this time. <br />Bob Keating was somewhat assured by the same firm that did the Civil War monument that it <br />would not fall down. Bob Keating noted things are going fine despite a man out on Workmen's <br />Compensation. Fees are down as are the number of burials. Bob Keating will be meeting with <br />the Board of Selectmen to explain the PC Fund and the need to increase it. Beth Klepeis will be <br />with him. Mary Vincent will also attend. <br />Receipts <br />Receipts are down. <br />Adiourn <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:48 P.M.
