BYLAW COMMITTEE MINUTES #289 <br />Monday, November 30, 2009 ~ ..tea <br />--9 <br />Meeting called to order at 6:40 p.m. in Room 234 of Reading Memorial High School. 'ihe <br />meeting was held prior to a Special Town Meeting to amend the Zoning Bylaws to <br />enable the revitalization of the downtown area.. 00 <br />u, <br />na <br />cc) <br />Members present: Phil Pacino, Jack Russell, Dolores Carroll and Ron O'Keefe, Jr. - <br />Others Present: Town Manager Peter Heckenbleickner, Town Planner Jean Delios and Town <br />Counsel Ellen Callahan Doucette. <br />Article 5: Following a review and brief discussion of the proposed Section 4.12 addition to <br />the Zoning Bylaws entitled Downtown Smart Growth District, the Committee agreed that new <br />construction, in addition to the renovation of existing buildings, would be a great <br />improvement for the downtown area. <br />George noticed (all the way from Florida) that under Section 4.12.5.1, there was a duplicate <br />number 6, prompting the Committee to suggest changing the 6 to 7 and 7 to 8, thereby have <br />the numbers follow in consecutive order. <br />On motion of Jack Russell, seconded by Dolores Carroll, the Committee voted to recommend <br />the subject matter of Article 5, with corrections, by a vote of 4-0-0. <br />6:55 p.m.: Meeting adjourned. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />. <br />Dolores S.
