Recreation Committee Minutes - 'r <br />Wednesday, October 13, 1999 s. <br />P 3- 29 <br />The Recreation Committee meeting came to order at 7:3 0 PM in the Conference Room <br />of Reading Town Hall. Committee members in attendance included, Alan Beaulieu <br />Chairman Jack Downing, Kate Kaminer, Dennis Lucyniak, Chris Campbell, Claire <br />Bolger and Vice Chairman Dave Bryant. Also in attendance were Associate Member <br />Sudie Faye, Associate Member Mark Nelson, Associate Member Bernie Winne and <br />Recreation Administrator Joe Connelly. Jack Webster from Reading T-Ball was also <br />present. <br />Ms. Kaminer made a motion to approve the minutes of the Wednesday, September 8, <br />1999 meeting as amended. Mr. Bryant seconded the motion, minutes approved 7-0. <br />Committee member Lorraine Salter entered the meeting at 7:40 PM. <br />Town of Reading Field Use Disciplinary Policy <br />Mr. Connelly reviewed the draft policy with the Committee. Mr. Connelly stated that he <br />did invite each league to send representatives to tonight's meeting to discuss the policy. <br />Mr. Connelly stated that this policy would go into effect during the 2000 Spring season. <br />The Committee spoke in support of the policy. Mr. Webster of Reading T-Ball shared his <br />concerns with the Committee. The Committee discussed Mr. Webster's concerns of <br />having violations carry over. The Committee and Mr. Connelly shared their views with <br />Mr. Webster. Mr. Beaulieu made the following motion, seconded by Ms. Bolger, and <br />approved 8-0. <br />Move that the Reading Recreation Committee adopt the Town of Reading Field <br />Use Disciplinary Policy. <br />Review of Summer 1999 Report <br />Mr. Connelly reviewed the 1999 End of Summer Report with the Committee. Mr. <br />Connelly answered Committee questions and summarized his outlook for the rest of FY <br />2000. Mr. Bryant made the following motion, seconded by Mr. Beaulieu, and approved <br />8-0. <br />Move that the Reading Recreation Committee accept the 1999 Summer Report as <br />submitted. <br />
