Recreation Administrator's Report <br />Wednesday, June 14, 2000 <br />Town Hall Conference Room <br />7:30 PM <br />Non-Agenda Items: <br />Summer Registration: Is ongoing. A flyer was sent out to the school outlining <br />program openings. Below is a list of the programs that are closed. All other programs <br />have openings. <br />The Following programs are closed. <br />1. CIT <br />2. JR. CIT <br />3. Getting Ready for Middle School <br />Fields: The field assignment for the summer is complete. I'm awaiting summer <br />schedules. <br />The- youth sport group organization meeting with youth sport presidents is scheduled <br />for Wednesday, June (0, at 7:00 p.m. in the Town's Hall Conference Room. We will <br />- - discuss field scheduling issues as well as maintenance concerns. Any other issues the <br />group would like to bring up will be discussed at this time. <br />Summer Concert Schedule is all set. Please see enclosed. We still need coverage for <br />a few open days. <br />Rotary Road Race: There were 83 participants in this year's Rotary Fun Run. Last <br />year 102 runners participated. This decrease is a result of the weather for that day. <br />Boston Duck Tours: 19 Participants enjoyed a lovely day on the Boston Duck Tour. <br />Spring Golf: This is the last spring program. We have 8 students registered. <br />Adult Golf: This program began on Monday, June S. Courtney is very excited about <br />his numbers. We are still taking registrations for this upcoming session. <br />Summer Camp Open House: There will be a Summer Camp Open house at Coolidge <br />Middle School on Wednesday, June 28 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. This is new for us. It <br />will give the parents and children an opportunity to meet their counselors, tour the <br />facility and go over the camp rules and regulations. <br />Reading Summerfest: This years Summerfest will be my 6 - 10th at the Birch <br />Meadow Field Complex. The scheduled times for this event will be from 6:00 - 10:00 <br />p.m. Thursday - Saturday. Sunday, Noon until 10:00 p.m. The firework display will <br />be on July 8 - 10th. <br />
