Board of Selectmens Meeting of July 14 , 1986 Page 1 <br /> A meeting of the Board of Selectmen convened in the Executive <br /> Offices , 6 Lowell Street , Reading , Ma . at 7 : 30 P.M. <br /> Present were Chairman Landers , Vice-Chairman Ziegler , Secretary <br /> Nigro , and Board Member Graham. Also in attendance was Acting Executive <br /> Secretary Anthony V . Fletcher, .P. E. <br /> It was moved , seconded and voted 4 : 0 to accept the minutes of the <br /> Board of Selectmen ' s Meeting of June 30 , 1986 as amended . <br /> It was moved , seconded and voted 4 : 0 to accept the minutes of the <br /> Board of Selectmen' s Meeting of July 10, 1986 as amended . <br /> Mr . Russell joined the meeting at 7 : 45 P.M. <br /> It was moved , seconded and voted 4 : 0 : 1 to rename the former Town <br /> Library the Town Hall Executive Offices . <br /> The Board next discussed the change of title for Mr . William A. <br /> Redford , presently Assistant Superintendent of Engienering to "Town <br /> Engineer" . Mr . Fletcher explained that in no way would his duties <br /> change , however , "Town Engineer" more accurately describes his function . <br /> It was the concensus of the Board that Mr . Fletcher check into the <br /> Personnel By-Laws and report back to the Board at a later date the <br /> logistics for changing the title Assistant Superintendent of Engineering <br /> to "Town Engineer" . <br /> The Board next discussed the establishment of a formal outline for <br /> the three interviews to be held for Town Manager . The Selectmen agreed <br /> that the interviews should be kept strictly to 12 hours each. <br /> After a very lengthy discussion , and an overview of the references <br /> of each of the candidates , an outline was established and is attached <br /> and made a part of the permanent record of this meeting . <br /> It was moved , seconded and voted 5 : 0 to adjourn at 10 : 20 P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted , <br /> Secretary <br />
