t <br /> 7 <br /> E <br /> Board of Selectmen & Light Board Meeting <br /> November 24, 1987 <br /> The Board of Selectmen and the Reading Municipal Light Department <br /> convened in the Executive Offices, 6 Lowell Street, Reading, MA <br /> At 7: 30 p.m. Present were Chairman Russell, Vice Chairman Nigro, <br /> Secretary Graham, Selectmen Landers , and Ziegler . Members <br /> present from the Municipal Light Board were Mr. Ames, Mr. Nemer- <br /> gut, Mr. Hampson, .and Mr. Pacino. <br /> Pursuant to the vacancy created by the resignation of Frank Gor- <br /> gone from the Reading Municipal Light Board dated October 15, <br /> 1987 , and pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 41 Section 11, <br /> the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Reading, and the remaining <br /> members of the Reading Municipal Light Board met jointly and each <br /> member of the Board of Selectmen and each of the remaining mem- <br /> bers of the Reading Municipal Light Board having 1 vote , ap- <br /> pointed James O'Leary. Mr. O'Leary will serve until the town <br /> election next March. Mr. O'Leary gave no assurance to his elec- <br /> tors last night that he would seek a full term next year. <br /> On motion by Landers seconded by Ziegler , the names of James <br /> O ' Leary and William Hughes were placed in nomination. Mr . <br /> O'Leary received 6 votes and Mr. Hughes received 3 votes. <br /> Adjourned: 8: 20 P.M. Respectfully submitted: <br /> Secretary <br />
