Minutes of the Board of Selectmens Meeting <br /> May 21, 1991 <br /> The meeting was convened at 7:34 p.m. in the Selectmens Meeting <br /> Room, 16 Lowell Street, Reading, MA. Present were Chairman <br /> Eugene Nigro, Vice Chairman Dan Ensminger, Secretary Sally Hoyt, <br /> Selectmen Russ Graham and George Hines and the following inter- <br /> ested parties: Bill Hughes, Gary Demopoulas, Edward F. Driscoll, <br /> Pat Driscoll, Bill Jennings, Peter Doherty, Gordie Clark, Dana <br /> Hennegar, Nelson Burbank, Robert Culbert, Jay Dumas, David Mur- <br /> phy, Pat Iapicca and Ron Wood. <br /> On motion by Graham seconded by Hines the minutes of May 7, 1991 <br /> were approved as submitted. <br /> Liaison Reports <br /> Under Liaison Reports, Russ Graham indicated that he had attended <br /> the National History Day celebration earlier this evening. <br /> Dan Ensminger attended an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for McCoy, <br /> and also attended and presented the Selectmen's proclamation for <br /> National History Day. <br /> George Hines and Eugene Nigro had attended a Legal Services Com- <br /> mittee meeting and the final Legal Services Committee Meeting is <br /> this Thursday. <br /> Sally Hoyt attended the National History Day, attended the Volun- <br /> teer Recognition program given by the Division of Elder Services, <br /> and announced the Bank of Boston was holding a car wash for the <br /> benefit of the Human Services Revolving Fund. <br /> Public Comments <br /> There were no public comments. <br /> On motion by Hines seconded by Ensminger a proclamation for Flag <br /> Day was approved by vote of 5-0-0. <br /> On motion by Ensminger seconded by Hoyt a proclamation for the <br /> Reading Memorial High School Boys Track Team was approved by a <br /> vote of 5-0-0. This was approved without reading and will be <br /> presented as a surprise. <br /> Personnel and Appointments <br /> The Selectmen interviewed the following candidates for positions <br /> on the Ice Arena Task Force: Gordie A. Clark, Robert A. Culbert, <br /> Peter E, Doherty, Edward F. Driscal III, James J. Dumas, Dana. E. <br /> Hennigar, William J. Hughes, Jr. , Pasquale M. Iapicca, William J. <br /> Jennings, Jr. , Patricia L. Keane, David F. Murphy, Robert T. <br /> Strandberg and Gail F. Wood. <br /> On motion by Hines seconded by Hoyt the names of Culbert, Dumas <br /> and Iapicca were placed in nomination for the position repre- <br /> senting the Birch Meadow neighborhood. Dumas received four <br /> votes, Iapicca received one vote and Dumas was appointed. <br /> On motion by Hines seconded by Hoyt the names of Burnham, Hen <br /> nigar, Morroco and Strandberg were placed in nomination to repre <br />
