Board of Selectmen Meeting <br /> April 23, 1997 <br /> The meeting was convened at 6:00 p.m, in the Selectmen's Meeting Room, 16 Lowell Street, <br /> Reading, Massachusetts. Present were Chairman George Hines, Vice Chairman Camille Anthony, <br /> Selectman Sally Hoyt, (Dan Ensminger arrived late), Town Manager Peter Hechenbleikner, Town <br /> Counsel H Theodore Cohen and the following list of interested parties: Tom Stohlman. <br /> Closing of the Warrant <br /> The Town Manager reviewed a 12 Article Warrant for a Special Town Meeting to be held on <br /> May 8, 1997. The Board discussed the various items on the Wan-ant. With respect to Article 12 <br /> on acquisition of open space, the Board added the language to allow it to be used for <br /> conservation or recreation purposes. <br /> On motion by Ensminger seconded by Anthony, the Board voted to close the Warrant for a <br /> Special Town Meeting to be convened on May 8, 1997 consisting of 12 Articles in accordance <br /> with the draft dated April 23, 1997. The motion was approved by a vote of 4-0-0. The Board <br /> asked to make sure that copies of the,Warrant and background material were available for Town <br /> Meeting on the 28th. <br /> On motion by Ensminger seconded by Hoyt, the Board voted to go into Executive Session for the <br /> purpose of discussion of purchase or sale of real estate not to come back into Open Session. On a <br /> roll call vote, all four members present voted in the affirmative and the motion was carried. The <br /> meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Secretary <br />
