A couple of restaurants do use <br />"clamshell" style containers made of polystyrene. Alternative containers are <br />available. <br />• Cost difference for the alternative container is small and may be cheaper based on a <br />sampling of items from a suppliers. <br />• Food service director is very supportive and is interested in how the schools currently <br />serve salads, which is the primary use of the containers <br />• Select Board to vote on the proposed bylaw in its final form <br />• Genady to send a letter out to other businesses not in the immediate downtown <br />area. <br />• Interest in having both a virtual meeting at Oct 12 RCAC meeting (Zoom) <br />• Public meeting space is not available at the Reading Library until Oct 13 from 7 to <br />8pm.
