*I' <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Town of Reading <br />Board - Committee - Commission - Council: <br />Climate Advisory Committee <br />Date: 2021-02-10 <br />Building: Reading Town Hall <br />Address: 16 Lowell Street <br />Purpose: Bi -monthly meeting <br />Attendees: Members - Present: <br />Time: 7:00 PM <br />*ECEIVED <br />TOWN CLERK <br />REAPING, MA. <br />11.014- <br />2023 MAR -8 PM 3: 10 <br />Location: Conference Room <br />David Zeek, Chair; Ray Porter, Secretary; Peter MacGown, Associate <br />Member; Jeff Everson; Member; Denise McCarthy, Member; Travis Estes, <br />Associate Member; Charles Underhill, RMLD Representative <br />Members - Not Present: <br />Celeste Kracke, Member; <br />Others Present: <br />Genady Pilyaysky <br />Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Ray Porter <br />Topics of Discussion: <br />Meeting was held via a Zoom Conference Call <br />Welcome to Members and Guests <br />Review minutes, vote on acceptance <br />Meeting minutes for 01/27/2021 has been accepted as amended <br />Co-sponsor of Sustainable Middlesex Carbon Countdown 2021 <br />• Provide advertising on Facebook as a post and an event <br />• Person Facebook page by committee members <br />• Willing to chair a session if requested <br />Green Community Participation <br />• State Senator Lewis proposing to initiate a bill to allowing RMLD to bill Reading <br />separately for involvement in the Green Communities program <br />• Demonstrate higher efficiency in Town Buildings and electric vehicles <br />Heat pump and electric vehicle programs are proposed by RMLD <br />• Coleen O'Brien requests support for RMLD's grant to install electric vehicles <br />charging stations <br />• RCAC should support placing chargers in Reading <br />• Chargers should include a Level 3 rapid chargers, depending on expected <br />customer time intervals <br />• RMLD is working with a company called Volta and looking at sites at several retail <br />locations (Stop and Shop, Market Basket, Home Depot, Jordan's Furniture) <br />• Letter of endorsement from RCAC might be helpful when communicating with Julie <br />in the Planning Commission <br />Page 1 1 mvmm <br />
