Benjamin to prepare the Forest Cutting Plan <br />o In September, bid dead tree removal in Areas 1 to 4 with Areas 5 & 6 bid <br />as alternates. <br />o Seek funding at November Town Meeting <br />o Conduct tree removal (Phase 2) in December or January <br />o Cutting off the tops of trees may be an alternative to tree removal for trees <br />that are near wetlands but are a safety risk. Will need ConCom approval. <br />o Contact Select Board Liaison Mark Dockser about the project <br />• 90t1 Anniversary set for 9/25/2021 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. <br />o Kurt & Nancy are writing invitations to Town officials and others <br />o Speakers are confirmed including topics: raptors, snakes & native plants <br />o Buckthorn pulling will be done all morning. <br />• Follow-up to 5/11/21 discussion on the dog bite incident, voted to investigate how <br />to revise the by-law to limit the number of dogs per handler to three since the <br />ability to maintain voice control over more than three dogs is unlikely. <br />• Concern was raised about invasive plants in the Compost area. Preparation of an <br />information packet for proper disposal of invasive plants was suggested. <br />• Committee meetings will remain remote for the foreseeable future. <br />• Approved minutes to 5/11/21 TFC meeting <br />• Next Meeting: scheduled for 7/20/21 but was subsequently changed to 7/13/21 at <br />7:00 pm <br />Page I r <br />
