The project will also include removal of Buckthorn which is <br /> an invasive species. The Buckthorn removal is scheduled for late April or early May. <br /> Day 1: remove Buckthorn and burn it in Council Ring fire pit. Day 2: Bring in native <br /> plants and supplies to plant them. Native plants and supplies will be bought using <br /> fundraising and donations (-$800). Motion to approve the Scout's project <br /> unanimously approved. <br /> • TFC held a discussion to plan for Public Hearing on pilot thinning project on <br /> 1/14/2020. Meeting will start with TFC chair doing a presentation on the thinning <br /> project. This will be followed by open Floor Q &A session. TFC brainstormed on <br /> potential questions and their answers. <br /> • There will a Pre-activity meeting before the logging work begins that will require the <br /> presence of contractor, Chuck Tirone Conservation Administrator and Jane Kinsella <br /> DPW Director. <br /> • Discussion on Black Earth Compost that collects food waste for composting but too <br /> many concerns by the Town with doing food waste composting in Town Compost <br /> area. <br /> • Review and approval of previous meeting minutes <br /> o Not reviewed due to lack of time <br /> • Next Meeting: Will be at the public hearing January 14, 2020 <br /> Page 1 1 <br />
