The project will also include removal of Buckthorn which is an invasive species. The Buckthorn removal is scheduled for late April or early May. Day 1: remove Buckthorn and burn it in Council Ring fire pit. Day 2: Bring in native plants and supplies to plant them. Native plants and supplies will be bought using fundraising and donations (-$800). Motion to approve the Scout's project unanimously approved. • TFC held a discussion to plan for Public Hearing on pilot thinning project on 1/14/2020. Meeting will start with TFC chair doing a presentation on the thinning project. This will be followed by open Floor Q &A session. TFC brainstormed on potential questions and their answers. • There will a Pre-activity meeting before the logging work begins that will require the presence of contractor, Chuck Tirone Conservation Administrator and Jane Kinsella DPW Director. • Discussion on Black Earth Compost that collects food waste for composting but too many concerns by the Town with doing food waste composting in Town Compost area. • Review and approval of previous meeting minutes o Not reviewed due to lack of time • Next Meeting: Will be at the public hearing January 14, 2020 Page 1 1
