Discussion of 2/28/2019 meeting with Reading Conservation Commission <br /> . Discussed questions and answers from meeting <br /> . Need to get on the Select Board agenda to present the Pilot Thinning <br /> proposal right away <br /> • Discussed public hearing and Senior Center as potential location <br /> . Forester Phil Benjamin will be contracted to prepare the "Scope of Work" <br /> section of the Invitation For Bid (IFB) for Pilot Thinning project <br /> • Whether and how should we provide oversight of work while it is being <br /> done <br /> 2. Discussion and planning of site walk in Town Forest <br /> . Ice has melted making walk possible. Chair will check with Conservation <br /> Commission on best time <br /> 3. Discussion of Old Campfire Gids council ring and proposed rehab for use by Cub <br /> Scouts <br /> • Document titled "New Council Ring Revitalization Proposal"from Cub <br /> Scouts was reviewed <br /> . Cars park at Wood End school and allows short walk to camp site <br /> • Work planned to start May 11 <br /> 4. Any other topics not reasonably anticipated 48 hours prior to meeting <br /> . Discussion on how to manage old scout projects that are in state of <br /> disrepair. Example is a kiosk left of chain entrance to Strout Ave entrance. <br /> .
