READING, SAA <br /> Board - Committee - Commission - Council: 2019 JUL - I PN 12: 01 <br /> Climate Advisory Committee <br /> Date: 2018-10-10 Time: 7:00 PM <br /> Building: Reading Town Hall Location: Lower Level Conference Room <br /> Address: 16 Lowell Street <br /> Purpose: Bi-monthly meeting <br /> Attendees: Members - Present: <br /> David Zeek, chair; Ray Porter, secretary; Laurie Ann Sylvia, <br /> member;Celeste Kracke, member; Jeff Everson, associate member <br /> Members - Not Present: <br /> Gretchen Latowsky, member; Gina Snyder, associate member <br /> Others Present: <br /> Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Ray Porter <br /> Topics of Discussion: <br /> Welcome to Members and Guests <br /> Review minutes, vote on acceptance <br /> Minutes for 9/26/2018 meeting <br /> Ongoing Business: <br /> • Miscellaneous items <br /> o Promotion of Associate members - Laura Gemme clarified that associate <br /> members can be promoted to voting status for that meeting <br /> o Ask Gretchen in December whether she wishes to continue as a member. <br /> o Meet with Laura Gemme to upload past meeting minutes - Ray <br /> • Health Effects of Natural Gas <br /> o Distributed testimony Dr. Brita Lundberg of to Salem Board of Health <br /> meeting. <br /> o Reading Board of Health has not met on this issue. <br /> • Electric Heat Pump (Heat Smart) <br /> o Jennifer Cally and Julie Smith-Galvin still interested in working with us. <br /> o RMLD can not take lead. <br /> • Electric Charging Stations <br /> o DEP grant for workspace charging stations to cover 50% of a station. <br /> o Best places to put a system would be somewhere that one would be for an <br /> extended period. Close to highways are also good spots. <br /> o Power access for Jordans will be evaluated (easy, hard, impossible) <br /> o Raoul is setting up a business plan to implement EV stations at various <br /> businesses.
