C. Reports <br /> Liaisons <br /> Mr. Robinson announced that he has pulled papers for reelection to the School <br /> Committee. <br /> Mrs. Borawski shared that the SEPAC will be meeting tomorrow night at 7:00 <br /> p.m. in the Reading Police Community Room. <br /> Mrs. Webb shared that the Human Relations Advisory Committee is currently <br /> planning the MLK Day celebration. <br /> D. New Business <br /> FY2020 Budeet Presentation <br /> Dr. Doherty began by thanking Chief Financial Officer Gail Dowd and School <br /> Business Assistant Chris Schweitzer for their efforts in putting this budget <br /> together. He reviewed the calendar and said that for the first time in several years <br /> he is not speaking about reductions and is able to present a balanced budget. <br /> Dr. Doherty pointed out that we are currently in the final year of the District <br /> Improvement Plan and the administrative team is developing a new plan. He then <br /> reviewed how the priorities of the District Improvement Plan connect to the FY20 <br /> budget and the critical parts of the vision. <br /> Mr. Burkhart called the Finance Committee to order at 7:15 p.m. <br /> General fund expenditures, financial drivers and items not included in the FY20 <br /> budget were reviewed. <br /> Mrs. Dowd reviewed the Administration and Districtwide Programs cost centers. <br /> Mr. Huggins provided background information on the School Building Facilities <br /> and CORE Facilities. He reviewed the department mission and organizational <br /> chart. He reviewed the preventative maintenance program and the facilities <br /> technology used to track work flow. He reviewed gas,water and electricity <br /> usage. The School Facilities cost center was reviewed. <br /> Mr. Huggins provided a brief overview of the FY20 CORE Facilities budget and <br /> the FY20 capital projects. <br /> II.
