Orq <br /> Town of Reading - <br /> Meeting Minutes R IE CEiVi 0 <br /> �" GtFJN CLERK <br /> Board - committee - commission - Council: 2g10 NOV _7 PM 2: 44 <br /> Metro North Regional Housing Services <br /> Committee <br /> Date: 2018-08-23 Time: 10:00 AM <br /> Building: Reading Town Hall Location: Berger Room <br /> Address: 16 Lowell Street Session: <br /> Purpose: BI-Monthly Meeting Version: <br /> Attendees: Members - Present: <br /> Julie Mercier, Laurie Stanton, Danielle McKnight, Valerie Gingrich, Andrew <br /> MacNichol <br /> Members - Not Present: <br /> Others Present: <br /> Liz Rust, Erin Wortman, Planning Director, Stoneham, and Tom Younger, <br /> Town Administrator, Stoneham <br /> Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Laurie Stanton <br /> Topics of Discussion: <br /> The Committee called to order at 10:11 AM. <br /> Status Update <br /> Welcome Stonehaml We gave them a copy of the IMA.We discussed incorporating a new Town into the <br /> IMA. <br /> Stoneham: <br /> Most of their affordable units are homeownership.Some of these units are set to expire in 10+years. <br /> They are under 5%for the SHI.They have built over 700 units recently,none of them affordable. <br /> The Town needs to work on a better relationship with the Housing Authority. <br /> There is no HPP, but it is almost done. <br /> The Town Administrator's goal is to modernize the Town and be proactive to resident needs.The Town <br /> needs more public transit.This is not a CPA Community. <br /> The Town Planner would fund our program through her operating budget,so it lasts.The MNRHSO <br /> could help with organizing all the affordable units in the Town. I can help with the dayto day tasks, like <br /> resales,re-financing,etc. I can also help with line items in the HPP. <br /> Timeline for Stoneham to put MNRHSO in the operating budget:Send the SHI and the scope of services <br /> to Ms. Rust and Ms.Stanton.We would put an agreement in place between Reading and Stoneham for ' <br /> Gage 1 1 <br />
