orgy <br /> Town of Reading <br /> a3 Meeting Minutes r : CEI'vE0 <br /> OWN CLERK <br /> READINC, MA. <br /> Board - Committee - Commission - council: 31H OCT -9 PM 6; 19 <br /> Cultural Council <br /> Date: 2016-11-02 Time: 6:30 PM <br /> Building: Pleasant Street Senior Center Location: Arts and Crafts Room <br /> Address: 49 Pleasant Street <br /> Purpose: Business Session: <br /> Attendees: Members- Present: <br /> Nora Bucko, Mary Ann Kozlowski, Nancy Ziemlak, Donna Schenkel, Jane <br /> Soloway, Beth Mosier, Rosemary Lewis. <br /> Members - Not Present: <br /> Others Present: <br /> Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Rosemary Lewis <br /> Topics of Discussion: <br /> The meeting was called to order by Donna Schenkel at 6:370 pm in the Arts and Crafts <br /> Room of the Pleasant Street Senior Center. <br /> Minutes of the previous meeting were approved after with corrections. <br /> Donna reminded everyone to complete the Conflict of Interest training. <br /> Nancy reported on what she found out about our Council sponsoring a project next year. <br /> We can use 15% of our grant for that purpose. Funding of stipends is allowed. <br /> Treasurer's Report was presented. All grant reimbursements have been pain. Statements <br /> were received for July, August and September. There is currently $237.29 left in the <br /> account that can be added to our current grant monies for 2017 Cycle. The voting meeting <br /> calculation sheet was completed and a motion was made to set aside $200 for <br /> administrative expenses, leaving a balance for grants of$6561.00. The motion was <br /> seconded and approved. <br /> A brief discussion about some of the grant applications ensued. All members received the <br /> link to the panel book for our Council, which contains the applications. The total of requests <br /> comes to $15,809. There was discussion about whether some of the applications meet <br /> criteria or not. <br /> Mary Ann and Nancy volunteered to put together a letter and email it to grantees Inviting <br /> them to come to our next meeting and talk about their projects. It was recommended that <br /> the letter reiterate the requirements for consideration. <br /> Donna asked everyone to think about more ways to publicize the RCC and the work we do. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm. <br /> Page I 1 <br />
