Approval of Minutes from June 11, 2018 <br /> Motion: To approve Minutes (Verner/Grimes) <br /> Vote: Approved 6-0-0 <br /> II. Review of policies with Town Counsel: <br /> In an effort to update Library policies to better match the evolving use and purpose <br /> of the building, the Trustees invited Town Counsel to discuss existing policies and <br /> gather feedback about possible changes. Mr. Miyares and Mr. Reustle will work on <br /> updated language and have something ready for Trustee discussion at the <br /> September 10 meeting. <br /> III. FY2019 Director Goals <br /> Reviewed and discussed goals, which were developed in conversation between Mr. <br /> Brzezenski and Ms. Lannon as part of her annual review. They build upon last year's <br /> goals and are drawn from the library's strategic and action plans. <br /> IV. Financial Report FY2018 <br /> Ms. Lannon shared that the year ended well; the library spent down all expense <br /> funds. No trust money was used in FY18; some gift money was used. <br /> V. Director's Report: <br /> Personnel: The Borrower Services department is seeing a lot of staff changes. <br /> Senior Library Associate Patty O'Donnell retired, and received sick leave buy back. <br /> This will hit our FY19 salary budget, and if necessary, we will ask for a transfer of <br /> funds next spring. Suzy Axelson (previously a substitute) was hired for a scheduled <br /> shift in the department. Associate Donna Beaulieu has been hired for a full-time <br /> Page I I <br />
