Reading Cultural Council Minutes <br />September 10, 2012, Reading Public Library Meeting Room <br />Meeting started at 7:05 P.M. Present were: Lynne Cassinari, Peggy Caouette, Eileen Collins, Molly <br />Entwistle, Lorraine Horn, Colleen O'Shaughnessy, Nancy Snow, Jacalyn Shelton Wallace <br />In the absence of a recording secretary, Colleen O'Shaughnessy was elected. <br />Minutes of the May 14 meeting were amended and approved. <br />The Treasurer's report: Balance $2,351.48. Read and accepted. RCC has been level funded. <br />Members introduced themselves and checked email and telephone numbers for accuracy. Everyone was <br />instructed to take MCC training and Open Meeting Guidelines for Public Officials if they had not yet <br />done so. <br />Old Business: guideline revisions will be added to the Town website soon and grant applications are on <br />line now. MCC provided post cards encouraging applications, they will be left in the library. <br />New Officers: Eileen Collins took on the responsibility of corresponding secretary and keeper of a scrap <br />book of RCC articles and press releases. Lynne suggested that someone consider volunteering to replace <br />Lorraine Horn as co -chair in the coming year. <br />Dates for 2012 -2013 Meetings: Oct. 22, Nov. 5, Dec. 3, Jan. 7, Mar. 4, Apr. 1. May 6 <br />New Business: Vicky Shubert and Lorraine Horn attended a meeting at MCC offices in Boston July 9 at <br />which time Vicky asked for guidance as to how RCC can be more than a distributor of funds. <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:10 P. M. <br />
