DuboisN. Yablonsky <br />Financial Report (R. Urell) <br />• Salaries on target; <br />• Trustees Financial Reports reflect 8 months of expenses. <br />Trustee Liaison's Reports <br />Foundation (R. Curtis) <br />Helen A Nigro Speaker Series will present Roland Merullo, author of the Revere Beach Trilogy <br />on Wednesday, March 23`d and Reading resident and award winning puppeteer Judith O'Hare will <br />speak on'The Power of Puppets to Entertain and to Educate on Monday, April 11`". <br />Friends (C. Dubois) <br />A "Hole" Lot of Fun fundraiser featuring 18 Holes of Miniature Golf at $5.00 per player will be <br />held inside the Reading Public Library on Sunday, May t, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a quiet <br />study area set aside for students who may visit the library to study for finals. <br />Budget FY12 <br />P. Petry stated the Finance Committee has not yet finalized voting on the budget, Wed., March 23 <br />will be review of the capital budget and Wed., March 30 will be the final FY12 Budget meeting. <br />Discussion <br />• Trustees want to convey to the Finance Committee the importance of the need for the $27,640 <br />M.A.R. shortfall; <br />• The Trustees will ask Marsie West, Chairperson, Finance Committee for a time spot on the agenda <br />of March 30, 2011 meeting at RMLD to make a statement regarding the budget shortage; <br />• J. Doucette will write the statement and C. Dubois will speak at the budget open hearing; <br />• The Trustees are concerned that an application for the M.A.R. waiver will risk the approval of the <br />Library Building Program Grant application; <br />• P. Perry stated she understands the Trustees' point, however stated all the Town departments are <br />asking for small amounts. <br />State budget update: Library received 2nd round of aid $12,662.14 bringing total received to <br />$24,438.56. R. Urell sent letter to MBLC thanking the staff for their work in getting State Aid <br />funds. <br />
